Most of the earth's surface consists of water, there is much more water than there is land.
So where can we find all of this water? Our oceans!! Almost all of our water, 97% of it, is in our oceans. The rest, the stuff we can actually drink, freshwater is found in glaciers, ice, underground, rivers and lakes! That means only 3% is freshwater everyone!!
AND.., over nearly 70% of that freshwater is in our glaciers and the North and South Poles!
The big news for me is that 0.3 % is found in rivers and lakes, yes that is less than half of one percent. Do the math, let it sink in, perhaps now you'll care more about our rivers and lakes? I hope so!!
